Vegan With Soul pt. 1: Collard Greens


Just because you started a more green lifestyle doesn’t mean you have to eliminate all of your favorite foods. One of my favorite Meals is collard greens . My mom used to make them almost every Sunday. Here is the vegan version !

3 bunches of Collards

1 large chopped onion

2 tbsp of oil

2 tbsp of Liquid Smoke

1 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce

1 tsp of White Vinegar

1 tbsp of season salt

1 tbsp of Onion powder

1 tbsp of Garlic powder

1 tbsp of Black Pepper

1 tbsp of Paprika




Directions : Clean and Cut your Collards, and prepare your oil on Medium high heat. Take your sliced onions and place them in the pot. Allow them to get tender before adding your greens. Once greens have been added allow to cook for 3-5 minutes. Once wilted, add in your liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce and vinegar . Let cook another 10 mins, then add in your dry seasons. Stir and let cook for another 30 minutes. Greens should be tender and tasty . Add More seasoning if needed.
